Living On the Land 2014 - Registration Open

What: Living On the Land: Stewardship for Small Acreages

When: Wednesday evenings 9/3 – 11/19 (12 weeks)

Where: Near the 78th St. Heritage Farm in Vancouver (one class will be held at Dollar’s Corner)

Cost: $35 per household


Participants of this course will develop a whole property management plan focused on stewardship and centered around five key modules: resource assessment, soil, water, plants, and animals.  Examining and learning about these topics will provide a framework which will guide future management practices and decisions for the benefit of the property, animals, natural resources and our community.  A variety of local and regional specialists presenting on the various topics covered and participants will be able to ask questions and make valuable contacts.  Here’s the course curriculum for a better idea of what we’ll be covering and attached is this year’s schedule.
