Poultry Processing Equipment
Due to budget and staffing constraints, we will be renting the poultry processing unit Thursday-Monday only for a time. We will be charging $50 plus a refundable $50 deposit per rental period.
If you are interested in renting this equipment, please send an email to email@example.com. You can reserve the unit up to three months in advance.
Clark Conservation District provides low-cost rental of equipment for small-scale producers to safely process poultry for home consumption, or to slaughter poultry for direct marketing with a WSDA permit. At this time no other poultry processing equipment is available for rent in Clark County. The CCD project helps producers fill the demand for locally-grown chicken, turkey, and other poultry..
EQUIPMENT RENTAL PROCEDURES
CCD poultry processing equipment is available for a rental fee of $50, plus a $50 deposit to be refunded when returned clean and on time (over 15 minutes late and we will keep your deposit).

The trailer plus equipment weighs approximately 1,500 lbs. Consult your owner’s manual to ensure the trailer is within the towing capacity of your vehicle. Never exceed your vehicle’s towing capacity because doing so can affect your vehicle’s handling, stopping ability, or possibly even damage the drivetrain.
WSDA POULTRY PROCESSING INFORMATION
No permits are required to process poultry for home consumption. The Washington State Department of Agriculture created a special permit to allow on-farm processing of up to 1,000 birds for direct marketing. See the links below for details on the permit and additional information for small-scale producers.
