Programs & Services
Clark Conservation District offers a range of voluntary programs and free assistance tailored to the needs of our community. All services are provided completely free. We often have funding to help with projects big and small. Whether you’re a land manager or not, rural or urban, managing a forest or just a few trees, we want to make it easier to steward the land in Clark County.

Poop Smart Clark
Poop Smart Clark is focused on reducing bacteria from poop in our local waterways. This program currently provides cost share assistance for livestock manure management, and septic system inspections, repairs, and replacements.

Forestry Conservation
Whether you have one tree or two hundred, it can be a lot of work to keep your forest healthy. Our technical staff is available to provide site visits for forest resilience, wildfire preparedness, and forest management planning.

Farm Conservation
Clark Conservation District offers free technical assistance to farmers and residents implementing conservation practices on their land. We also work with residents to provide financial assistance for implementing some of these best management practices.

Streamside Restoration
Clark Conservation District’s Free Tree Program offers eligible landowners up to 200 free stems of native trees to enhance their riparian areas. Our technical staff is also available to provide planning, technical, and financial assistance for eligible riparian projects.

Manure Exchange
Clark CD maintains a list of livestock owners who have excess manure to share with interested gardeners, landscapers, and community members for free! Manure Exchange is a simple, free way to recycle valuable nutrients and organic matter.

Native Plant Sale
Clark Conservation District’s annual Native Plant Sale provides conservation-grade native species to the community. This sale is responsible for providing more than 20,000 native plants for the community annually.

Equipment Rentals
Clark Conservation District has tools large and small available for rent. Small tools and the poultry processing unit are available year-round. The no-till drill and manure spreader are available for rent from April through October
